What is a Floating Floor
The term floating floor refers to a floor that is not directly stuck to the subfloor. Floating floors simply sit on top of a layer of plastic sheet and foam underlay that is rolled out over the concrete or timber subfloor. Floating floors, when joined together at the edges, float as an interlocked sheet across the floor.
